        APPLICATION NOTES


Before you apply, please read the following:

• First determine whether your project fits with the Lough Neagh Strategic Fund and meets the eligibility criteria.

• There is an opening date and closing date for applications to the Lough Neagh Strategic Fund. All applications for funding have to be submitted before the closing date.

• All applications for grants will be in two parts and can be accessed through the EU Structural Funds application website www.eugrants.org  There are two parts to the application form, Application Process Step 1 and Step 2 . To apply for funding you must complete both forms, Part A Step1 and Part B Step2.Your application for funding will only be deemed complete when we have received both parts, including a declaration on Part B signed by the applicant.

• Print out copies of following from Internet:
EU Guidance Notes for Part A - http://www.eugrants.org/forms/bsp_gdn.pdf
Part A of application form - http://www.eugrants.org/forms/bsp_parta.pdf
Only once you have begun to fill in Part A will you be given the link to Part B.
Use the Part B link to obtain Part B of the application form and the EU Guidance Notes for Part B.

• Read all guidance notes in this information pack and information from the EU website before attempting to fill in any parts of the application form.

Step 1 - Completing Part A

Part A can only be filled out online. Before you fill in Part A, we strongly advise that you print out the EU Guidance Notes and Part A itself and read through everything.
We recommend that you print out a copy of Part A to fill out by hand first, before you go back and fill out Part A online.

1. Go to the EU Grants Website on the internet. The Website address is:  www.eugrants.org
2. To choose the English language, click on the top blue arrow to proceed.
3. To make a new application click on ‘Apply’ on the left hand side of the screen.
4. You must now register. If you read the paragraph you will see a link ‘If you have not yet registered please Click Here’.
5. Follow the ‘How to register’ instructions and enter your details as requested. Make a careful note of your username and password as you will need it every time you log on to the site. Click ‘Submit details’ once and wait for your details to be processed.
6. Then click ‘Apply’ again to proceed.
7. Put in your Username and Password and click ‘Log In’ to proceed.
8. To make a new application, click on ‘New Application’ located on the left.
9. Click on ‘Select’ at the top of the screen.
10. For each step choose the following:
Programme: Building Sustainable Prosperity
Priority: 004 – Agriculture, Rural Development, Forestry and Fisheries
Measure: click on the BSP measure number for your particular Project Type
(refer to Themes and Projects Funding Guide in the Guidelines for Applicants)
11. Click on ‘View Details’ at bottom of the screen.
12. Click on ‘Click Here’ in centre of screen below ‘For Contact Details, Open / Close Dates or to Apply’
13. At the bottom right of the Lough Neagh Partnership address, click on ‘Apply to this Implementing Body’.
14. Remember to click on ‘Save’ regularly whilst filling out the Part A.
15. Remember that you do not have to fill the whole form Part A in one sitting. You can log off and resume later by clicking ‘Save & Exit’.
16. If you ‘Save & Exit’, you can open your application form Part A again by clicking on the title of the application after logging in again.
17. Once you have completed all 8 pages of form Part A, submit it to the implementing body by clicking once on ‘Submit Part A to Implementing Body’.

Step 2 - Completing Part B

Part B of the application form needs to be filled in and returned to the Lough Neagh Partnership at the address shown. You can obtain your Part B form from the EU Grants website www.eugrants.org or from the Lough Neagh Partnership office.

Remember, your application will only be deemed complete when we have received BOTH PART A and PART B of the application form.
